About Todd Reed

After many years of shooting analog film, I now capture moments in time using a mirrorless digital camera system, which I carefully craft into the desired finished image. Often printing small images for my home gallery, or self-publishing small Zines based on a theme, topic or trip.

Having grown up under the influence of Ansel Adams, I am drawn to the grand landscape and prefer black and white images, which draw attention to the tone and texture and the finer details of this beautiful world around us. God's handiwork is in those details. The ever changing landscape, the light and sounds of nature, and the plants and animals are revealing Himself to us daily. (Rom 1:20)

The act of getting outdoors is something I learned to appreciate as a teenager. I enjoy being out in nature, hiking or resting in a quiet meadow, and it helps me to connect with my creator, and is an activity that restores my soul. The output or finished work is simply my attempt to share a bit of God's masterpiece with others, and to reveal a bit of His divine creation in all its splendor. I hope you enjoy these images and sense God's presence in the journey.
