Yin and Yang
While out exploring with a few friends in Alabama Hills, I was circling a more famous arch, and found this unique rock, which stood out like a sore thumb... in a good way. I framed it up, against the ridge line of the Eastern Sierra. A smooth almost round stone on a pedestal, against the jagged peaks, some of which are over 14,000 feet tall. The natural lichen forming the Yin and Yang symbol. A Chinese philosophy of opposing forces in direct tension. Much like our faith walk. Already saved but not yet in eternity! The tension of the "already, not yet".
